The above photo was taken in Miyun, to the northeast of Beijing (see map below). A small group of us stayed in a guesthouse that grows delicious organic fruit and veg. It has since been published in the English-language edition of the Global Times. Payment was in the form of an RMB 100 restaurant voucher – better than a poke in the eye…
