Interpreting

I and my colleague Bridget Rooth are an interpreting team, offering both simultaneous and consecutive French-English and English-French interpreting services for events in China and Asia.

In September 2011, we provided both simultaneous and consecutive English-French and French-English interpreting at the China-Africa High Level Experience Sharing Programme on Agriculture and Rural Development, a three-day event in Beijing organised by the Chinese Ministries of Finance and Commerce, the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development and the World Bank.

In July 2011, we provided simultaneous English-French and French-English interpreting at the FINA (international swimming federation) Extraordinary Congress in Shanghai, China.

In 2004, I provided simultaneous English-French and French-English interpreting at the European Social Forum in London, UK.

TRANSLATION

I’m an experienced translator mostly working from French or German to English. Clients include: English Trackers, a Beijing-based editing and translation company through which I have translated material from organisations including the French Development Agency, the Embassy of France in China and Croisements Festival, a Franco-Chinese cultural festival; International PEN, a UK-based writers’ organisation; and Giata, a German tourism company.
